Industry Ready Graduates
Nazriet has successfully graduated from the Certified Hospitality Personnel (CHP) program at Lokken College and has secured employment in the hospitality industry. Her successful transition into employment demonstrates the value of combining classroom learning with practical workplace preparation.
Throughout the CHP program, Nazriet developed skills to support her success both on and off the job. Computer Training helped her build the technical skills needed to adapt to today’s digital workplace, while Academic Upgrading provided opportunities to strengthen the foundational skills needed for continued learning and employment. Through Career Path Management, she also developed skills in Money and Budgeting, Occupational Health and Wellness, Conflict Resolution, and Change Management, helping prepare her to handle the responsibilities and challenges of the workplace.
As part of her Industry Specific Skills training, Nazriet completed her hospitality-specific emerit training and successfully passed her emerit exam. This provided her with industry-recognized training that complements the broader workplace and employment skills developed throughout the CHP program.
The Certified Hospitality Personnel program includes career development curriculum, academic preparation to write the CAEC tests, and industry specific training. This includes emerit certifications including Front Desk Agent, Housekeeping Room Attendance, and Line Cook, as well as Food Safety, ProServe, and First Aid for Food and Beverage Server. These certifications build knowledge of industry best practices and National Occupational Standards to give learners an edge when entering the workforce.
