A New Journey Begins
Moving to a new country brings new experiences, new challenges, and new opportunities to learn. For Marta, joining Lokken College was a chance to build skills, learn about the workplace, and take an important step toward her future in Canada.
Marta successfully completed the Certified Hospitality Personnel (CHP) program. Through Career Development, she developed practical skills for preparing resumes, searching for work, and preparing for interviews. Career Path Management helped her build workplace skills such as Communication, Interpersonal Management, and Conflict Resolution, while Computer Training strengthened her digital skills for today’s workplace.
As part of her Front Desk Agent stream, Marta completed her emerit training and successfully passed the certification exam. This gave her industry-specific training to support her next steps in hospitality.
Reflecting on her experience, Marta shared:
“My time at this college wasn’t easy, but it was truly wonderful. I’m walking away with countless invaluable experiences, knowing this is only the beginning of a much longer journey.”
Starting over in a new country takes courage, patience, and a willingness to learn. Marta’s journey shows how training can help build a foundation for the opportunities ahead.
