REFUNDS

Lokken College applies a tuition refund policy per the Alberta Government Foundational Learning Assistance Policy Manual and Foundational Learning Skills Development Program Designation Guidelines.

If a learner withdraws or is terminated from their program of study, Lokken College will refund tuition in an amount dependent on the withdrawal or termination period.

There are two withdrawal or termination periods:

1. 1. Non Starters
   2. Starters

Non Starters
Non Starters are accepted learners who have not and have not:

• • Confirmed their lokkencollege.com credentials; and/or
  • Complete orientation; and/or
  • Receive learning support equipment and/or
  • Attended classes.

Lokken College will refund 100% of the tuition for non starters

Starters
Starters are accepted learners who:

• • Confirmed their lokkencollege.com credentials; and/or
  • Complete orientation; and/or
  • Receive learning support equipment and/or
  • Attended classes.

Lokken College will refund 0% of the tuition for starters

This policy considers that when a learner is a ‘starter” they have effectively occupied a place in the program and that space cannot be refilled.

Lokken College will refund all tuition to the source of payment. For learners attending on Student Loans or whose tuition has been paid by an agency or funder, all fees will be refunded toward repayment of the student loan or to the agency or funder who paid the fees.
