Built the Tools to Succeed
Gloria has successfully graduated from the Certified Hospitality Personnel (CHP) program at Lokken College. Throughout her training, she demonstrated an exceptional commitment to her education by maintaining perfect attendance.
The CHP program is designed to give learners the skills they need to succeed in both the workplace and everyday life. Through Computer Training, Gloria developed the digital skills needed to work in today’s technology-driven workplaces. Career Development helped her build practical employment skills, including Resume writing, Work Search Techniques, and Interview Skills. Career Path Management focused on workplace skills such as Communication, Time Management, and Stress Management, helping learners understand how to work effectively with others and manage the demands of the workplace.
When reflecting on her program, Gloria said: “My time at Lokken College provided me with the tools I needed to succeed both in the classroom and on the job. I am really appreciative of the guidance and amazing experiences that shaped my college experience.”
The Certified Hospitality Personnel program includes career development curriculum, academic preparation to write the CAEC tests, and industry specific training. This includes emerit certifications including Front Desk Agent, Housekeeping Room Attendance, and Line Cook, as well as Food Safety, ProServe, and First Aid for Food and Beverage Server. These certifications build knowledge of industry best practices and National Occupational Standards to give learners an edge when entering the workforce.
