Alexis is pictured above on the job, having recently secured employment as part of the final phase of her 20-week Certified Industrial Personnel Apprenticeship program at Lokken College.

Throughout her program, Alexis completed Career Development curriculum to enhance her employability and make her resume stand out, earned industry-recognized credentials to prepare for industrial employment, and completed Academic Upgrading to ensure she’s ready to enter an apprenticeship when the time is right.

When reflecting on her experience, Alexis highlighted the Career Path Management (CPM) presentations as especially impactful: “The CPM courses gave me a very interesting insight to the way other people communicate with each other inside and out of the workplace, which has caused conflicts for me in the past. Having a direct source of how other people see certain behaviors and body language, regardless of whether or not they ring true for myself, helped me understand a lot about communication with others significantly better than before, as I am now able to understand the outside perspective.”
