Achieving Career Goals

Adeba has successfully graduated from Lokken College’s Certified Hospitality Personnel program after securing employment directly aligned with her intake career goal. She also completed and passed her emerit Certification exam, demonstrating strong mastery of core hospitality standards.

During her program, Adeba completed academic upgrading, career development assignments, and industry-recognized hospitality training. This included developing her résumé and cover letter, completing a mock interview, and building essential skills in customer service, workplace communication, professionalism, and safety; all contributing to her job-readiness.

Reflecting on her experience, Adeba shared: “The skills I learned here led me to secure a job before I even graduated. This experience truly prepared me for my future.”

The Certified Hospitality Personnel program includes career development curriculum, academic preparation to write the CAEC exams, and industry specific training through emerit. Emerit certifications include Retail Training, Front Desk Agent, Housekeeping Room Attendant, and Line Cook. These courses build knowledge of industry best practices and National Occupational Standards to give learners an edge when entering the workforce.
