“I Love My Job!”
Kassie attended the 20-week Certified Retail Personnel program at Lokken College. During her program, she worked closely with her instructor to develop an eye-catching resume and cover letter. She also improved her interviewing skills, as well as several soft-skills through the Career Path Management presentations provided daily by our instructors.
Kassie also passed her Retail Sales Associate emerit training, starting her on the way to a Tourism Certified Professional designation. Emerit certifications include Retail Training, Front Desk Agent, Housekeeping Room Attendant, Line Cook, and Food and Beverage Server. These courses build knowledge of industry best practices and National Occupational Standards to give learners an edge when entering the workforce.
Learners in the Certified Hospitality Personnel (CHP) program are being certified by emerit training and certification as a Front Desk Agent, Housekeeping Room Attendant, Food and Beverage Server, or Line Cook. CHP learners are working toward the Tourism Certified Professional (TCP) designation, a credential recognized throughout the Canadian Hospitality Industry. The emerit National Professional Certification is sanctioned by Tourism HR Canada.
