Nevada is pictured above proudly displaying the two certificates he earned during his 20-week, Certified Retail Personnel program at Lokken College. During his program, Nevada diligently worked on the career development curriculum, including identifying his employment goal, creating a plan with his instructor to successfully achieve that goal, and improving his resume and cover letter to increase his employability. He also qualified for, and completed, industry specific training through the emerit Retail Sales Associate certificate. All of this while also maintaining perfect attendance throughout his program.

When reflecting on his time at Lokken College, Nevada reported that the daily Career Path Management (CPM) presentations, including Anger Management, Change Management, and Communication were his most significant learning experiences. These daily CPM presentations introduce and develop the “soft-skills” employees must have in order to maintain long-term employment.
