“A Fun Experience!”

Martha recently graduated from the 20 week Certified Hospitality Personnel program at Lokken College with a focus on the Food and Beverage Server stream. During her program, Martha studied for and wrote the GED exams, completed emerit training for further certification as a Food and Beverage Server, and attended daily Career Path Management presentations to improve her soft skills and become more employable. She also created an eye-catching resume and cover letter, and worked directly with her instructor to improve her interviewing skills.

When looking back on her program, Martha said: “I learned about getting my GED diploma, Emerits Certificate, it was fun learning about the workshops… It was a fun experience.” Congratulations on your success, Martha! We look forward to hearing from you during the 90 day and 180 day follow ups.

Learners in the Certified Hospitality Personnel (CHP) program are being certified by emerit training and certification as a Front Desk Agent, Housekeeping Room Attendant, Food and Beverage Server, or Line Cook. CHP learners are working toward the Tourism Certified Professional (TCP) designation, a credential recognized throughout the Canadian Hospitality Industry. The emerit National Professional Certification is sanctioned by Tourism HR Canada.
